Maddie Walks!

Maddie Walks!!!

For the 1st time (well the REAL first time was a couple minutes before the above pic, but, we didn't have a camera right then so, bare with me) @ 10:20 P.M. (yes, it was very late @ night) January the 28th!!!
She was 6 days over her 16 month mark (22nd of Jan.). And a bit at the end of her groups milestone for walking but, like Adrian's dad told her, "You ain't got much of a body, so, you better start developin' your brain." oh my Maddie. Which the brain part is very much true for my Honey Bun. She excels in all areas that have to do with her mental stamina, especially spacial, social, and in the arts... She loves to figure out how to take things apart and put them back together (just ask Mr. Potato Head, Grandmas makeup case, and organizing her hair styling tray among many other things). She also LOVES loves people, anytime we are out and about, Maddie turns around in all directions to catch a glance, and flash a smile. Everyone just loves her, Maddie already knows how to light up a room and make heads turn towards the princess bee. At last, most of all, she loves the arts! Coloring, Joking (she already teases us and Pippy, as well as laughs at funny moments in life, books, or movies), Nature, but, most out of the most, She loves Singing and loves TO Sing. Mommas so proud, and even more proun, Grandma Bowler. Even when she was just several months old we could see she had already developed a love of music. Whenever we watched opera or American Idol, Maddie would stop whatever she was doing, and stare off into space, or where the music was coming from, listening and indulging ever last piece until it was done. After awhile she would even raise up her arms and swoosh them down or clap above her head. Nowadays she sings along! We were listening to either Mario Lanza, or a lady soprano, anyway, sometime in early January. All of the sudden Maddie rounded out her lips, and articulated the vowels out of her mouth to create beauty (to a Mommas ear maybe haha). She even raises up her arms and sweeps across with her hands as she sings, mimicing the opera singers to a "T" I would say. Amazing. She's really too smart for her own good. If only her Great Grandma Poulsen were here to witness this. I bet she wouldve been pleased to see how far her influence and love of music came down through into the expanding generations.

Baby Doll

Maddie luvs Her Bebes. She rockabyes them, covers them with blankies (or any random object, such as toys or laundry), feeds them from anything that resembles a bottle. And anytime she sees one of her babies from across the way with a peaking glance, she'll say, "Baybee!" then crawl frantically shouting, "Baybee, baybee.....baybee!" Then, when reunited, snuggles her face into her babydoll and then holds the baby to her chest and rocks them, pretty vigourously I must say, hahaha, it gives Her Momma and Grandma quite a chuckle. What a good Momma already. Wait, does that make me a granny? Niceness. I'd like my glass of warm milk and my Perry Mason turned on now, thank you!

She hasn't really quite mastered the fine art of parenthood, she's pretty good for a 16 month old. She likes to situate her babies all nicely together (she never situates or feeds her dolls or her stuffed animals, only her baby dolls mind you) with blankets and bottles and such, all the comforts you can imagine a good mommy can provide. Then after they sit there for a bit, and Maddies satisfied for a time...She grabs everything and throws it down, flinging things here and there, then resituates again...could you be suffering from post-pardum my Maddie-Cakes?? Never! You just have enough when it's enough, hahaha, you learn from the best my luv

Maddies Baby Blessing

On the 27th of December, 2009 Sunday night, my Maddie was blessed by her Grandpa Bowler at the home of the Perry's in Draper, Utah. Also blessed that day was little Elleana Savannah Bowler, Maddies cousin. It was quite a Birthday present from my Dad and Maddie (my birthday is on the 29th) to me, I must say. That's a present of all that I could want. To know that my child was held and gathered around by men of worthiness and knowledge, all of Her family around her, blessing Her with peace and prosperity. It was very comforting, especially with knowing all the trials Madd and I have faced and will face in the future. It's good to have Heavenly Father there on your side helping you fight through the difficulties in life, helping you to be able to see the blessings through the strife and in the strife. Like a pat on the back, a warm blanket being wrapped all around you. I'm so grateful to have a family of support and strength and honesty. I wouldn't know where my daughter and I would be if it weren't for them. Probably continuing to live with my child's father, seeing no way but the current way, living a life of darkness and endless remorse. Being for nothing and dying for nothing. All the while bringing more of our children into this world, and throwing them against the wall, feeling along, having no eyes to see with, not knowing or caring where to go. It would have been a pity. I am so peaceful. I know now that the Lord cares for my prosperity, that through the continuous trials he put me through were acts of kindness. He let me see the world as I had begged for to see it, and He held back his blessings so I would fall. Thank Heavens! It didn't take me long, especially after I held that Baby Girl in my arms, seeing Her face and seeing a sister, (to me, quite a bit older than myself). I saw the ways of the World, and am striving now to know the ways of the Lord. I promised Her I would make it up to Her, and it will happen. I don't care how much I have to work, how much I have to council, fight, discipline, provide, and wait, I will provide Her Her inheritance She was born to claim. She is my life extended, She is Heavenly Fathers daughter, I hope to bring Her back to Him in the same bright likeness as He gave Her to me, just a little bit more learned, maybe. And now, She has a fresh new jump start!

I Broke It!!!

My foot...is broken. And no, I will not go to the doctor, I'm a Bowler. I don't like there estimates, plus having no insurance really is a kick in the pants. Shoot! I got into an argument with a motels bedframe and let's just say it wasn't a fair fight. I'll just wear a wrap and/or ducttape as well as have my handy crutches, yay!

New Years! etc...

Now, New Years time was fun...Actually, I guess you would call ours an early New Years because on the actual New Years night I was fiddling on Facebook, Maddie just went to sleep, and my Momma and Pops were watching the ball drop with Ryan Seacrest, oh, and we were all in a motel room. Just getting back from going over and past and in many homes that day, we were o say the least, pooped. Here is another one that caught our eye, so, at least there was something we got out of it!
... but the night before was action-packed, so lets just say that THAT was our New Years.

All the gang was there that was there for Christmas...Eric and Angies fam, Kurt and Alyssa, Nathan, Madd, Momma, Dad, and I. 1st stop was Firehouse Pizza and Pasta. After getting all filled up and gorged more than the human body usually should, we went bowling! and arcading! at Fatcats in Ogden, UT! I loved it, it's just the kid in me, I believe everyone else did too. Nothing else could have been better. All the kids had fun, big and small, (well, the parents were happy those gremlins could be occupied for at least awhile, haha, while they could play).

Christmas Time!

Christmas time was great! We flew in from Detroit to Vegas on the 16th. We dined with Nathan at a very nice Chinese restaurant(I wish I could remember the name of it), then, on our way up to St. George, Utah (an hour and a half drive north) to look for homes, again. This one that caught our eye:

And making bids on this short sale is oh so much fun (why is it called a short sale? It takes like 3 months to get everything finalized). Well, it's there up for grabs...we're trying all the time to make the deal : D On our next stop was Park City, UT, where we had reserved a charming condo from the 20th-26th. Eric and Angie with their family, Kurt and Alyssa, Nathan, and of course Mom, Dad, Madd and I were there to celebrate the holiday festivities. It was great! We mostly were all sick, each of us took our turn on and off. We played the Wii/board games, ate, went sledding for about 10 minutes altogether, and explored the beauty of Park City while getting groceries. Hahaha, we mostly had fun being all huddled up together in that 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo experiencing the joy of eachothers company, and gifts! Lots of good times

Hey Hey Now Miss Rae Rae

Maddie has grown So Much! I look back on her pictures and think, "Where did my Baby go? And who's this Girly that has taken her place?" I Guess that's what kids do though, they grow...
Madd has learned so many things as well like, well, like this:

That's our lovie : D Miss Maddie

She can ride her trike (with tippy toes but not peddals yet), say bubbles (bu-bball), dadda, pippy(more like PiiiiiPiiiiieeeeeEEE!!!!!), momma (she calls grandma mamma too), papa, ball, uh-oh, makes elephant noises (blow air through her lips), doggy noises, monkey noises, raspberry, hippo noises (almsot same as elephant, haha), she says mmmmMMMMMM! when she wants to eat something (especially when she sees dove chocolates sitting on the table/counter), takes apart and puts together her Mr. Potato Head, talks to her stuffed animals in the crib (really cute), kicks the ball back to you, goes up and the down stairs (for months now, she just slides down with her belly. Recently, flopping down like a little froggy), drinks out of a cup on her own,

oh! and she has 6 teefs (almost 2 molars with that too)! So, hopefully no more choking : ) happy day for momma and grandma...She likes to pull her hair and hit her head with her hands and on the floor/wall/crib (we try not to react but I don't know why she's so frustrated). She can give kisses (she doesnt pucker her lips yet but she does make a "mmmm, aah" sound when she puts them against your cheek)

I'm not sure what to do or what she even needs for Christmas. We will be in the Salt Lake/Park City Area over the holidays and hopefully Maddie won't get too crabby for the messed up time schedule and new places (she usually loves a new change of scenery). She'll have fun : ) Then we can all have fun
